Vilius Mickūnas

In 2022 Vilius Mickūnas obtained a bachelor’s degree diploma in Political Science at IIRPS VU. In 2024 he graduated the Politics and Media master’s study programme and obtained a Cum Laude master’s diploma. Topic of the MA thesis – “Discourse on Sexuality in Lithuania: an Analysis of Heteronormative Attitudes of Members of the Parliament of Lithuania” (supervisor doc. dr. Dovilė Jakniūnaitė).

Vilius started his PhD studies at IIRPS VU in 2024. Topic of the dissertation – “Women’s underrepresentation in Lithuanian politics: analyzing political recruitment through a feminist institutionalist approach.” (supervisor doc. dr. Inga Vinogradnaitė).

Works as part of the IIRPS VU administrative staff since 2021. Since 2024 – as Head of Studies Department.
