The research seminar will examine anti-corruption practices in the Baltic States and Kyrgyzstan, analyzing their policies, laws, and strategies. The Baltic States have achieved success through strong governance, EU integration, and robust anti-corruption laws, ranking high in international transparency indexes. Kyrgyzstan, following the 2020 political revolution, has introduced reforms and adopted a State Anti-Corruption Strategy for 2025–2030, though challenges remain. The lecture will highlight the potential for adapting the Baltic States’ practices, particularly Lithuania’s, to Kyrgyzstan’s unique context. Practical recommendations will focus on improving transparency, institutional openness, and leveraging international cooperation to combat corruption effectively.
The event will take place on the 13th of December, Friday, at 14.00 in the Winter Garden of the Institute of International Relations and Political Science (Vokiečių street 10, Vilnius).
Research seminar will be led by Zamir Aiylchyev, expert consultant to the Anti-Corruption Business Council under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic. Mr. Aiylchyev is also an international expert and scholar-practitioner in the anti-corruption field.
