Project idea
Project aims are:
1. A comprehensive review of the readiness of the Seimas (Lithuanian Parliament), Government, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania and State Security Department to participate in a long-term counter-terrorist missions abroad and the ability to respond to terrorist threats within the country;
2. To analyze the possible contribution of non-governmental sector (public, religious, ethnic and cultural organizations) to anti-terrorist fight;
3. To evaluate existing scientific and expert potential and to foresee future needs of Lithuania's participation in international counter-terrorism missions;
4. To study the adequacy of Lithuanian public perception to terrorist threats, and media‘s influence to form this perception.
Instituto ekspertai išanalizavo Lietuvos valstybinių institucijų pasirengimą dalyvauti ilgalaikėse antiteroristinėse misijose užsienyje bei gebėjimą reaguoti į teroristinio pobūdžio grėsmes šalies viduje.
