Project idea

Due to Lithuania's preparation for EU Presidency in 2013, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs appealed to the country's history experts to draw up a concise, easy to read treatise on the history of Lithuania based on criterias of truth and openness.

The book presents the history of Lithuania from the beginning of its statehood until 2004. A pure objective approach on the most pressing issues of Lithuanian history is presented in the book.

The book was published by Vilnius University Press.
