As countries face a never-ending series of international challenges and the implications of these challenges for national policies, solutions are constantly being sought to manage these crises. In the face of such crises, dialogue is essential, both between politicians and between different groups in society, as well as between scientists and experts. In order to take stock of the changes in the national, regional and global order and the related decisions, including the two years of work of the Government of Lithuania, we invite you to the two-day Annual Lithuanian Political Science Conference.
The conference will take place on 8-9 December at IIRPS VU, Room 402.
The conference will feature ten sessions on the following themes:
“Politics and Morality. The Question of Certainty” – moderated by Dr. Gintas Karalius. Speakers: Dr. Simas Čelutka, Prof. Alvydas Jokubaitis, Dr. Aistė Noreikaitė.
“The Significance of the Decisions of the Post-Communist Transformation Period for the Current Lithuanian Society” – moderated by Dr. Jogilė Ulinskaitė. Speakers: Valda Budreckaitė, dr. Karolis Dambrauskas, dr. Žilvinas Martinaitis, prof. Ainė Ramonaitė ir Paulius Vijeikis.

“What has the Government managed to do?” A discussion to review the Government’s two years of work. How much of the Government’s programme has been implemented, have the priorities changed and what work lies ahead for the remainder of the term? The discussion will be attended by representatives of the 18th Government and experts from VU TSPMI.
