Vilnius University Institute of International Relations and Political Science together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania invite you to prof. Sergei Guriev’s lecture “Growth Prospects and Challenges in Eastern Europe”.
Sergei Guriev is a Russian economist, the chief economist at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. He is a professor of economics (on leave) at the Sciences Po Paris. He was a Morgan Stanley Professor of Economics and a Rector at the New Economic School (NES) in Moscow until he resigned on 30 April 2013 and fled to France.
His primary interests are in contract theory, corporate governance, labor mobility, political economics, economics of development and transition. His work has been published in international refereed journals, including American Economic Review, Journal of European Economic Association, Journal of Economic Perspectives, Economic Journal and American Political Science Review.
