On April 26th Institute of International Relations and Political Science of Vilnius University (IIRPS VU) together with the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) foundation invite you to the public lecture by prof. Wolfgang Wessels “The European Council as Constitutional Architect”, which will take place at the IIRPS VU (Vokieciu str. 10), room 102, at 4:45 p.m. The lecture will be followed by the discussion moderated by prof. Ramūnas Vilpišauskas.
Prof. W. Wessels will answer the main questions about European Council: Who organizes the strategic agenda for the EU? How European Council works with other EU institutions? What is the main role of European Council and how did the importance of it changed? How was the membership of Great Britain in the EU addressed at European Council?
Prof. Wessels is the Jean Monnet Chairholder for Political Science at Cologne University. He also acts as Chairman of the Board of the Trans European Policy Studies Association (TEPSA). More information about the professor can be found here.
