Workshop “Belarus and Belarusians, 2020+: Assessing Prospects and Challenges for the Country’s Democratic Future”.
On October 24, 2023, the Institute of International Relations and Political Science (IIRPS), Vilnius University, in partnership with the Institute of Global Sustainable Development (IGSD), Warwick University, is conducting the workshop „Belarus and Belarusians, 2020+: assessing prospects and challenges for the country’s democratic future “.
The event aims to discuss and develop policy recommendations regarding the current situation in Belarus and international support of the Belarusian democratic movement in the context of Russia’s war against Ukraine.
The event will bring together Lithuanian, Belarusian and international stakeholders, including experts, researchers and politicians interested in the Belarusian problem.
The workshop will take place from 13:00 to 17:30 at the Institute of International Relations and Political Science (IIRPS), Vilnius University (Vokiečių str. 10, Vilnius, room 402).
The workshop will include several thematic blocks and a final panel discussion, “Belarus on the International Agenda: Securitization vs Interests of Democratic Belarusians”, with the participation of Lithuanian and Belarusian politicians and experts.
