Center of European Studies
The main goal of the Center would be more active research activities in the field of European studies. The vision of the Center:
- a structure that combines the academic leadership with bottom-up initiatives;
- a platform that ensures more academic communication and collaboration;
- a team that has the potential to generate original ideas;
- a factor that ensures greater involvement of doctoral students and young researchers in academic activities and discussions.
Main research areas:
Area Studies. It encompasses all the topics related to contemporary Europe from its internal structure to its place in a wider World focusing on the European Union and its member states.
Interdisciplinary studies. The primary research focus at the Institute of International Relations and Political Science is Polity, Politics and Policies, however, even International relations as a subject area is interdisciplinary which covers not only politics but neighbouring disciplines of economics and law as well. Inevitably all the issues have an aspect of humanities as well.
Activities: regular research seminars helping to articulate new and established ideas. This forum works as a platform for common research activities and projects.
