The relationship (the reasons for the creation of the politics in history, directions and the criteria of evaluation) between the history and the state is considered in this book. The main purpose of this book is to define the challenges and to evaluate the effectiveness of the historic memory’s discourse in the context of globalization. The relationship between the history and the state, which helps to highlight the challenges, institutional and ideological assumptions is discussed in the first part of the book . The essence of the current challenges of the state is analysed in the second part. In the third part, the possible political solution to the challenges raised to the state of Lithuania are revealed. The book also provides recommendations for history policymakers, based on the results of research.
