Discover Research: Opportunities for Students

On February 11, 17:30 VU IIRPS Student Academic Society and the Science and Research Department invite students to learn about opportunities to get involved in scientific activities!
From the first semester paper to collaboration with institute scientists or independent publications and their presentation at conferences – as the new semester approaches, we invite you to explore the opportunities to get involved in ongoing research activities or to initiate and realize your own research ideas. During the informal meeting, the main ways for students to engage in scientific activities and their benefits will be presented by the deputy director for science and research dr. Vilius Mačkinis.
The session will also feature experiences shared by:
Prof. Dr. Ainė Ramonaitė and dr. Ieva Petronytė–Urbonavičienė, who have been involving students in scientific summer expeditions for several years
VU IIRPS student Vidmantė Krušinskaitė, who completed the student summer internship project funded by the Research Council of Lithuania on the topic “Research on Russian digital propaganda and disinformation: the case of operation “Doppelganger”“ (supervisor – Dr. Nerijus Maliukevičius)
VU IIRPS alumna Elžbieta Žutautaitė, who completed the student research project funded by the Research Council of Lithuania on the topic “Republican concept of civic participation: analysis of P. Pettit’s theory“ (supervisor – Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vilius Bartninkas)
The event will be held in the VU IIRPS Winter Garden (in the VU IIRPS library building). The language of the event is English.
