US Senator John McCain has passed away

It is with deep regret and sadness that we received news on US Senator John McCain’s passing.

John McCain was a Vietnam veteran, who spent more than five years as a POW in prisoner camps. Upon his return to the USA, he embarked on a long and illustrious political career, focusing on matters of security and trans-Atlantic cooperation, was a staunch defender of freedom and democracy around the world. The Senator was a brave and honourable man and we are very proud to have had the opportunity to learn from him first hand.`
